This Experience is a unique opportunity to get behind the wheel and experience a drive of our twelve car transporters. In this experience you will be guided by a fully qualified HGV instructor as you attempt to manoeuvre the 60 foot monster around a specialist course. The Truck itself is a Scania P420 which benefits from a 13 litre 6 cylinder engine, producing 420 brake horsepower with 2200 NM of Torque. 

This experience provides 15-20 minutes behind the wheel of the lorry. In the experience, you will be given an in depth briefing in the cab by your instructor as he helps you get to grips with the oversized wheel and the 12 speed gearbox. You will then be given expert tuition as you attempt to coax the truck around various slaloms, as each course at the various venues on offer boasts lots of tight and technical sections, allowing you to massively improve your spatial awareness. You will also be able to have a couple of attempts at reverse manoeuvres in a bid to try and perfect your parking. Once you have completed your driving, you will then receive a certificate of completion, with the option to purchase photographs of your Truck Driving Experience as you reflect on a truly memorable day.

✔️ Welcome Introduction and Safety Briefing in the Cab of the truck by one of our fully qualified HGV Instructors

Min AgeThe minimum age to participate in a driving experience is 10 years old. (Individuals under the age of 18 need parental/guardian consent to participate)
Min HeightThe minimum height to participate in a driving experience is 4ft 10in.
Max HeightThe maximum height to participate in a driving experience is 6ft 4in. (Please contact us to discuss your options regarding this)
Max WeightThe maximum weight to participate in a driving experience is 20 stone. (Please contact us to discuss your options regarding this)
Driving LicenceAll participants over 17 years must hold a full valid driving licence and must have this present with them on the day the event is taking place. (International licences accepted)
CommunicationAll participants must have a good basic understanding of the English language and must be able to understand basic hand manoeuvres.
ClothingAppropriate clothing and footwear must be worn at all times during the event.
HealthParticipants must be in good health and must wear glasses if required.
DrinkingIndividuals who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate.
VouchersVouchers hold a 12-month validity period, unless otherwise stated.
Expiration DateExperiences must be booked and taken before the expiry date of the voucher.
Book AheadWe do ask that you book a minimum of 8 weeks in advance.
Cancellation CoverCancellation cover can be purchased separately, this covers you in the instance of death in the immediate family, breakdown on the way to an event or illness on the day.
AvailabilityAll experiences are subject to availability with regards to cars, date and venue.
WeatherWe still operate during adverse weather; however we hold the right to cancel an experience if the weather is too severe.
SpectatorsSpectators are welcome at all our venues.
Under SixteensIndividuals under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Our DatesMost experiences are available February to November.
Indemnity WaiverWhen attending an experience with ourselves you are fully insured to drive our cars however you may be liable for the excess payment if any claim needs to be made due to damage on the vehicles. It is advised that participants purchase a waiver indemnity that is offered to them at the time of booking and on the day.

          Kendrew Barracks, formerly known as RAF Cottesmore, has a rich history dating back to 1938 when it first became an operational Royal Air Force base. Its expansive runway played a significant role in aviation history, hosting the final flight of the iconic Harrier Jump Jet. Between 1943 and 1945, it also served as a base for the United States Air Force.

          The was named in honour of Major General Sir Douglas Kendrew, a former pupil at Uppingham School who served in the Royal Leicestershire Regiment. Major General Kendrew was one of only 11 officers in the Army to be awarded the Distinguished Service Order, known as the DSO, four times. The order is awarded for highly successful command and leadership during active operations.

          Following its formal closing ceremony in 2012, Kendrew Barracks transitioned to its current role as a satellite facility for RAF Wittering, located in Peterborough. Today, it is home to the British Army’s East of England Multi-Role Brigade.

          With it’s very long runway Kendrew Barracks is one of our most coveted venues to drive in the UK.

                These demonstration laps are done before you get to go out in your chosen supercar – one of our professional race instructors will take you round the circuit and show you the driving line so that you can get the most out of your own drive. They will show you the chicanes, the acceleration zones, the braking points, where and how to take the corners and everything else you will need to be familiar with on the circuit..
