At launch the McLaren 570S represented a toe dipped into new waters, it’s the forerunner of McLaren’s everyday Sports Series line up - from a manufacturer historically linked with high-performance supercars. This is a seriously fast machine, it is powered by the 3.8-litre V8 used in all McLarens. It has two turbochargers, which help deliver a surge of acceleration in the middle of the rev range. Porsche GT3-RS
PorscheGT3-RS
Hardcore 493 bhp GT3 RS represents a new level for the Porsche 911 - faint hearts need not apply. The grip is colossal, and you can, once you get brave, play with the balance - small, carefully measured adjustments only though, please. It takes time to fully appreciate, but like all good cars, it’s one that communicates brilliantly, and leaves you wanting more, makes you want to learn and improve. Doesn’t suffer fools, though. Italia
Ferrari may have been founded on a series of V12-powered cars, but some of its most successful models were those fitted with a mid-rear-mounted V8. And so it is with the Ferrari 458 Italia – the name meaning 4.5-litres and eight cylinders, with Italia thrown it at the end in homage to its home country. It was hailed by none other than Jeremy Clarkson as one of the most beautiful Ferraris ever made. Select your experience here

Aston Martin DB11
Aston MartinDB11
The DB11 succeeds the DB9 as Aston Martin’s flagship V12 GT, taking on cars like the Mercedes-AMG S65 Coupe, Bentley GTC and Ferrari F12. Aston’s DB lineage, named after one-time owner David Brown, stretches right back to 1950 and includes the iconic DB5 of Goldfinger fame. But the DB11 is the first all-new one since 2003. And if you’re wondering what happened to DB10, that was reserved for a special re-bodied V8 Vantage used in 2015’s Bond film, Spectre. Select your experience here

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it" seemed to be Land Rover's design philosophy when approaching the Series II Discovery. Owners BMW knew that the Disco's boxy looks were well received amongst buyers looking for a no-nonsense 4x4 of the 'proper' variety, but a number of other aspects were, if not broken, then could best be described as no-longer box fresh.
